Donald Trump is like Asthma. He won’t go away. But at least he’s no Mystery. He’s predictable. You can count on him. A con man is always on the make with a scheme to fleece you. He’s always looking out for himself. You can depend on him in a crisis to step over your body on the way out the door. There’s a kind of serenity that comes from viewing the Trumpian universe as a fixed system where nothing changes. You’re gonna get screwed. So eat shit and die. The party’s over.

The mystery is his supporters

I can’t figure these people. I mean, many of them are like the fellow in this photograph. Kind of special. I was gonna say NUT JOB but I’ve been criticized recently for picking on sad types like the Smelly Irish Dude. Told I was callous. And I’m thinking about it, I almost kind of feel sorry for the “nut jobs.” They just seem so duped.

But there are others who seen normal. That is, they appear normal.

Take for instance this MY PILLOW GUY. Mike Lindell. A rabid Trump Supporter and Election Denier. You’d think he’s a scum bag, but no. The fact is, he’s actually a nice guy in real life. He was a drug addict. Then he found Jesus, cleaned up and built his business from scratch. He gives away lots of his fortune to charities. He lives a model life. Except he follows Trump like a Nazi.

I don’t get it.

And how about these ladies? They show up at the Trump Rally’s with the t-shirts and funny hats and buttons. Grandmas in their seventies and eighties. I mean, there’s a few sexy old broads there, too. My age group. Are these women evil?

I would think not. Taken advantage of, maybe. Definitely not Evil.

Are they stupid? I don’t think so. Women in general are not stupid. Men are stupid. So why are these nice kind of sexy old broads I probably wouldn’t mind hanging out with…why are they Trump supporters? I’m shaking my head.

This is a guy that jumps out of an airplane with a bowie knife and kills a wild boar and all the while he’s naked. He does this for fun. It makes sense to me this guy would be a Trump Supporter. I mean, his stupidity is pristine.

They’re young and impressionable. Blame their parents, I guess….

Then there’s my girlfriend

I asked her once why she supports a man like Donald Trump. And her response was kind of scary. What she did, she recited back to me all the Trump Election Denier talking points. Kind of like that old movie where the Chinese Communists brainwash the American soldiers to repeat back on cue a story of lies. All of it completely made up. But they believe it. All of it. Because they’ve been Brainwashed.

My girlfriend is a Republican. There’s that. Maybe that helps contribute to the Trump brainwash thing. Otherwise she’s completely normal. Some of my good friends are Republicans. I can almost understand a Republican viewpoint. They believe in Small Government. They’re Capitalist. They’re all for Individual Freedoms. They have Conservative Values. A John McCain Republican. I understand why a republican would vote for a man like John McCain.

I would almost vote for a guy like John McCain. Or Mitt Romney. [I wouldn’t…I’m just saying…]

But Trump? I don’t get it. Why are otherwise rational people supporting Donald Trump?

Please tell me what’s going on here.
