Marx Explains The Matrix

Marx Explains The Matrix

I’m sitting on my ass watching Richard Wolff videos on You tube. This guy explains Marx. You wanna understand Marx? Probably you don’t. But if you do, listen to this guy.

Richard Wolfe is an American Marxian theorist known for his work on economic methodology and class analysis. He knows Marx. I’m not talking Groucho Marx, though he’s pretty good too. I’m talking Karl Marx.

So I’m reading Marx (Das Kapital) and listening to Richard Wolff’s youtube videos. Why am I doing this? Because I don’t give a fuck. That’s why. I got a coffee can stuffed with Hundred dollar bills and I’m living on Ronnie’s boat (formerly my boat) for next to nothing. I don’t need to work. I don’t need to do shit. I can lay on my ass and read Karl Marx. So there’s that. Also, I’m curious. I’d like to know why everything is so fucked up. Why people are walking around like Zombies. Working their asses off for peanuts. Why everybody’s so Brainwashed. Why 80 percent of the population occupies the lower rungs of the Socio/Economic ladder...and they think it their own damned fault!

How is it most people can’t see the real score?

(Just so you know. I read Marx way way back when I was in college, so I already know the real score. But after 50 years of scratching my ass I figure I need to bone up on him a little…just to keep my hand in. This is how I discovered Richard Wolff….)

Shits getting worse for normal-ass working people.

They may think it’s their own damn fault but it’s not. There’s nothing wrong with normal-ass working people. People trying to make a living wage. People who fail and blame themselves. The system is rigged against normal-ass working stiffs. They just don’t know the score!

Here’s the real score:

In the act of “Production” inequality is born

So what kind of system are we living in, here in the good old U.S.A.? It’s called Capitalism. That’s our system. You think you know what Capitalism is? You might say, it’s something like the Freedom to go out and make money? That’s true. But that’s not CAPITALISM.

Workers make money.

Capitalists don’t make money. They grow money.

They watch money grow off the back of your labor. That’s exactly what they do. Here’s how it works:

I make 25 bucks an hour as a free booze sample dude. I work a four hour shift. That’s 95 dollars after taxes. I’m a worker, I make money. The owner of my company is a Capitalist, she grows money. She sold my four hour shift to her client (in this case the Diageo wine corporation) for 25 hundred dollars. (I found this out by sticking my nose into her business.) She made 25 times the value of my four hour shift. She kept the surplus value. It’s called profits.

The rule is simple. As a worker I must always be paid less than what my labor is worth on the open market. In the above case, 25 times less.

This rule must be followed, or Capitalism will not work.

Some call this wage slavery.

Emma Goldman famously denounced wage slavery by saying: “The only difference is that you are hired slaves instead of block slaves.

I used to be a Capitalist

I ran a coupon business. I paid my workers 12.50 for every 25 dollar coupon book they sold. I printed the coupons for a nickel a piece. I paid my employees approximately one half what their Labor was worth. I screwed them a little but nowhere near what my current employer is screwing me. Does this make me a more kindhearted Capitalist? No. It makes me an inept and pathetic Capitalist beside my current employer. The test of a truly successful Capitalist is how much he can squeeze from his workers before they rise up and hang his ass.

The Movie Matrix

In the movie Matrix the robots keep human’s sedated and underground.

The matrix is a simulation engineered by artificial intelligence to keep humans sedated but also busy so the robots can utilize their bio energy …

Pretty cool, eh?

Marx explains the real Matrix

The REAL MATRIX refers to the systems and structures in society that keep us bound to the traditional ways of living and working. These systems can include societal norms, cultural expectations, educational institutions, and corporate structures that often prioritize profit over people. Apr 26, 2023 Linked In

Nice young folks stuck in the matrix…

We’re all stuck in the real Matrix here in the good old U.S.A.

You’re either working it or you’re getting worked. 80 percent of the population is getting worked.

The thing is, you can’t think about it. Because…if you dwell on it, how we’ve been conned from birth, Living in this Capitalist Matrix. It’s enough to drive a normal person insane. Not me. I’m not normal. I’m the gloomy ass boomer. I don’t give a shit. I didn’t start this thing. But a normal working stiff, still young enough to make his way in the world.

It’s enough to drive a good man to drink himself to death.
