My Opinion Of The Human Race

Human Beings are not so terrific. Evolution tinkered with baboons, and before it knew what it was doing, that’s to say, before it caught the dead cert, we’d won the race by a full length.

Human Beings came out on top.

The Evolution Recipe is simple: Mix time, suffering and death…add plenty more time. And you end up with a Human Being. Evolution doesn’t think. Thinking is left to us. And the truth of the matter is plain to see: we’re not so terrific. We’ll almost certainly end by wiping out all life on the planet. There’ll be a few Human Beings left, living in bunkers a hundred miles deeper than Hitler’s Berlin hole.

And you can bet your ass those left over Human Beings will be Trump Supporters.

A doubly grim scenario

Elon Musk will be down there. Impregnating sex slaves. Trumpy, trailing a flock of organ-donor clones, will continue to rule, the deeper his hole the better. The cabinet will be down there–minus any toady unwilling to sacrifice his living children. No dogs. No cats. Only a canary that sings the Pledge Of Allegiance. A previously compiled check-list of the Faithful will be down there, chosen for their maga fanaticism and income level. (if you’ve been wondering why Trump spends so much time peddling his worthless maga tripe–cowboy boots, hats, whiskey glasses, playing cards, etc.–it’s cuz he’s a cheap-shit carney barker, but with an ulterior motive: he’s compiling a survivor list!) All you gotta do to be chosen a post-apocalypse maga-droid survivor is buy his worthless shit. Oh, and you’ll need to be worth at least a hundred million. Less than a hundred million and you might get on the rolls, provided you sign away your organs for extraction while still living, and agree to exchange birth right citizenship for partial-enslavement, or full-enslavement where exigent circumstances arise.

Everything in Maga World is an exigent circumstance.

Is there no hope for the rest of us?

Not that we’re worth saving. Even the best of us are sub-par when you consider a healthy Border Collie has achieved perfection.

I frankly don’t get off on all this truth. I’d just as soon be a Border Collie and be done with it. But I’m stuck as a Human Being. I’ve been one for 71 years, and it’s taken me almost this long to wise up to how fucked-up and dangerous a typical law-abiding Human Being actually is. I mean, look at it this way: 71 Million or so Human Beings voted for Donald Trump. I don’t know of a single Border Collie that cast a vote for our current president.

I rest my case.

I’ll play the devil’s advocate

Say, for the sake of argument, Human Beings are redeemable.

According to A.I.

Redeemable qualities are traits or aspects of a person or thing that can be improved, corrected, or used to make up for shortcomings. They are often seen as positive attributes that counterbalance or mitigate negative aspects. Essentially, a redeeming quality is a quality that makes something less bad or bad. 

Set aside what those redeemable qualities might be.

Concentrate on strategy.

Why does Maga World prevail? How has Trump managed to become The Master Of The Universe in spite of the fact he’s not too bright and not very nice and thor·ough·ly repugnant with nary a scintilla of decency in his being? How does he do it? Two Reasons. A unified party and Charismatic Leadership.

Been this way since history began.

Currently we have a Republican Party that’s unified behind Trump. And in spite of his vaporous repellence, these Maga people, not to mention most conservative republicans, find him charismatic.

So he wins and he keeps winning.

How can we fight this awful state of affairs?

Simple. Fight fire with fire.

We need a unified party and a charismatic leader.

Unfortunately we currently have neither.

We had Old Joe but the Democratic Establishment, led by Billionaires, gave him the boot.

Old Joe wasn’t terribly charismatic. But he was a competent leader and a good Human Being…as far as that’s possible. During his time in office we did pretty well. When I say us I’m referring to poor people. Lower middle class people. Even middle class people. And not necessarily white people and straight people. All of us. That’s 99 percent of us. All of us were chugging along toward improvement with Old Joe running the show. Bigot Pigs did not have their way when Old Joe was in charge. We at least tried to be nice to each other. Sounds trite, eh? Compare it to what we got going now. But the Democratic Big Shots decided Old Joe was too feeble and too senile to win a second term. THEY decided. Not you or me. THEY figured he had to go. IF they’d left it up to me? I’d’a given Old Joe another shot at the title. I didn’t happen to believe he was too senile to run. Here’s part of a speech he gave yesterday. I don’t know, he sounds pretty sharp to me. Way sharper and kinder than Orange Head. I don’t know. You decide.

Think what shape we’d be in right now if Old Joe had won a second term (which by the way, he had at least a 50/50 shot at winning). Think for a moment where we’d be. If nothing else, we’d still be chugging along. Doing pretty good. Not perfect but improving a little bit as we chugged along. We’d still be a fairly competent, universally admired, beacon-of-light-to-the-oppressed-people-of-the-world, Country and Society.

Look at us now!

Think of what we’ve lost in less that 90 days!

We’ve become a kind of reviled pariah. We’ve become:

The U.S.A. in the image of Donald Trump!

That’s what we’re becoming. If we’re not there already.

So the alternative is simple. Fight fire with fire. Build a unified party (a party of inclusion based on a playing field for all of us.)

You might call it a party of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

And we need a charismatic leader who’s a kindhearted man like Old Joe.

But a man (or woman) with fire in the belly.

Like these two.
